These terms govern your use of EduSathi. By using the platform, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Eligibility

You must be legally allowed to use this service. Where required by law, users under 18 must use the platform with valid parent or guardian consent.

2. Service Scope

  • EduSathi provides automated academic answer-sheet evaluation powered by AI.
  • Results are indicative and should not be treated as official board grading.
  • We may improve the service using anonymized usage and submission data.

3. Data Processing

By using EduSathi, you acknowledge and consent to the following data processing activities:

  • Your account information (name, email, phone) is processed for authentication and account management.
  • Uploaded answer sheets are transmitted to AI service providers (Google Gemini / OpenAI) for automated grading. This processing may occur on servers outside India.
  • Usage logs, IP addresses, and device information are recorded for platform security and abuse prevention.
  • Consent records (timestamps, IP at consent) are maintained as required by the DPDP Act, 2023.

4. Accounts and Conduct

  • You are responsible for your account credentials.
  • Account sharing, resale, scraping, or abusive automation is not allowed.
  • Illegal or harmful uploads can lead to suspension or termination.

5. B2B Institutional Use

For institutional (B2B) users, the following additional terms apply:

  • Institute administrators may create accounts for teachers, scanners, and other staff. These accounts require individual consent acceptance on first login.
  • The institution is the Data Fiduciary for student records. EduSathi is a Data Processor for that data. The Data Processing terms apply.
  • Where students are under 18, the institution warrants it has the lawful basis required by DPDP Act Section 9 (including verifiable parental consent where applicable) before uploading answer sheets.
  • Institute administrators have access to data within their own institute only. Super administrators have cross-institute access for platform management.

6. Credits and Payments

  • The platform uses prepaid credits.
  • Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
  • Payment handling is performed by third-party processors.
  • Refund terms are defined in the Refund Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The platform software, workflows, and related systems belong to EduSathi. Users keep ownership of their own uploaded materials, while granting limited rights needed to provide the service.

8. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, EduSathi is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Service interruptions may occur due to infrastructure or third-party dependency issues.

9. Disputes and Governing Law

We encourage resolving concerns by contacting support first. These terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Jurisdiction shall be in Kolhapur, Maharashtra unless otherwise required by applicable law. Disputes related to data protection may be referred to the Data Protection Board of India as per the DPDP Act, 2023.
